I Don't Want to Huuuurt Anymore!

So I was at the Canadian Superstore waiting to get a prescription filled so I thought I'd mosey through the store and see if there was anything interesting (beside groceries!). They actually have a stationary aisle with crayons, colored pencils, and... JUMPIN' JUNIPERS! A scrapbooking section!

There wasn't a lot...some fancy paper pads, albums, and Fiskars stuff. Oh, yes. Let us look at the Fiskars stuff! I was rewarded with this:

Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife

I've always had issues with craft knives. My hand shakes sometimes (due to medication) and you can tell when you're holding a pencil-like tool. Pencils you can erase...cuts, not so much.

Now on to the praise-bestowing! This tool is AWESOME! It's easy for me to hold and doesn't put any fatigue on my fingers. I used it to cut felt...FELT my people! I'm assuming I was successful because the pointer finger is pushing directly down, rather than at a slight angle. But I'm no scientist! It also takes the same blades as the craft knife...#11s I do believe. Which is good...because I just bought some of those.

In conclusion (hahaha), I'd recommend this tool for anyone who has shakiness, cramping, etc. in their hands... and anyone else for that matter! If anyone tries it out, I'd love to hear from you!

Aaaand We're Back!

So after a long winter, spring craft shows now abound. I'll be attending the Creators' Marketplace Show and Sale in May. I know it seems far away, but you would be surprised how fast spring and summer book up! Plus you'll have to $ave up some funds!

Should be lots of fun! I'm really looking forward to it!

I'd like to direct you to a new website, too - Canada Arts Connect. A site for professional artists by a professional artist, Desirée Ossandon. Check it out!

Well, I'm hoping to update this more regularly (I know, I always say that) now that it's "Art Sale" season! Seriously though, I really mean it this time...
