Do as the scissors say...

More craft shopping...

I will be the first to admit I have a problem. My husband will be the second to admit I have a problem. I have a shopping problem...in particular craft shopping. I went to Michael's today and easily spent $50. And that was being good! I was holding myself back! The last time I was there I spent $200 (by accident, I assure you)!

Anyway, I bought some clay and a mold and I'm going to start playing around with that. I will post as soon as I come up with something! But not tonight...I don't think I should play with clay at 1am...I'm sure I'd get in trouble somehow!

A couple ATCs I suppose

I figured being I'm bored and don't feel good tonight, I'd waste some time by uploading a couple of my recent ATCs (Artist Trading Cards for the uninitiated...make some right now...they are SO addictive).

For a Geisha Swap on Craftster.org:

For the What Do You Look Like thread on Craftster:

And for the Clowning Around Challenge on Craftster:

Enjoy! More to come because I am totally addicted!

A Very Scanner Christmas...

So I've been trying to track down a used scanner for a few weeks now with no luck. And then, after agreeing we weren't going to exchange presents, my husband goes out and buys me something. So of course I can't control myself and I have to shake the box. I thought for sure it was a scanner and told my husband so. He said no and then went online to see if he could help me find a used one. Talk about misdirection! So I open my gift Christmas eve and what is it?!?! A SCANNER!!!! Now I can scan all my ATCs instead of taking crappy pictures with my cellphone! YAY!!!

I've got the itch...

I think I have a dollar store addiction. This dollar store down the street from me has the best craft aisle. I had all I could do not to go there today when I was out Christmas shopping. And when I do go I have to restrain myself and only take in $20. Thank goodness they only take cash. I'd have a hard time explaining how my credit card got maxed out at the dollar store.

Another of my loves (a new-found one) is Urban Scrapyard. They have some of the nicest scrapbook paper! And the two ladies who were there...I forgot to ask their names...were just as nice as can be! Not to mention they had a sale on! And I'm a sucker for sales! If you get the chance, check this place out!

Oh and one more new-found place that I just adore is Aboveground Art Supply! I actually was referred there by a painter friend of mine...I wanted to get her a gift certificate for Christmas. But man, everytime you turn a corner there was another room full of art supplies. I was really good though and only bought a couple sheets of paper, a mini canvas and the gift card. So I'm cashing out and the guy says to me "You just won your purchase!" I squealed with glee. I guess they have this promotion that if you get red stars on the back of your reciept, your purchase is free! So yay for me! I will definitely be going back there after I get some money to pick up all the pretties that I covet!

So if you live in the Toronto area, I definitely recommend checking out those two shops! Hey, you might even run into me there!

Method to My Madness

So I decided to start this blog as my "craft blog" so that I can show off all the interesting things I make and so that people can get to know my likes and dislikes...

Someone on Craftster.org has a really cool layout for this type of thing but I'll be damned if I can find it or even remember who had it...so please bear with me while I whip up my own. (translation: It may not happen tonight)
